Research Integrity
Sound research depends on how it’s conducted. Purdue’s Research Integrity Office provides guidance, resources and oversight to help you uphold the standards that protect your work and everyone it affects.
Understand Conflicts of Interest
Financial and personal interests can affect research in ways that are not always obvious. Purdue’s conflict of interest policies help you identify, disclose and manage potential conflicts so that your research stays credible and compliant.
Conduct Research Responsibly
Whether you’re a faculty member, postdoc or graduate student, understanding responsible research practices is part of the job. Find training, access courses offered by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) and take advantage of resources that will help you conduct research with integrity.
Manage Your Research Data
How you collect, store and retain research data matters to your funders, your institution and the integrity of your findings. Find Purdue’s requirements and best practices for managing research data throughout the life of your project.
Report Research Misconduct
All Purdue associates — faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate students and visiting scholars — must report observed research misconduct. Reports can be made directly to the research integrity officer at researchintegrity@purdue.edu or anonymously through the Purdue Hotline at 866-818-2620.
