Grants Process Guide
- Before you begin. If you are pursuing a biomedical research or training grant, review the Biomedical Research Development guidance. Early planning activities—center-level capture planning and strategic interdisciplinary research events—help shape your idea.
- Start with your research idea.
- Are you interested in internal funding?
- Yes – explore internal programs and apply for internal funding.
- No – find funding for external opportunities.
- Is this a limited submission? Confirm through the Limited Submissions process. As you prepare, access grant-writing resources and write a one-page concept paper to vet your idea.
- Do you have a cost share requirement? Review Cost Sharing.
- Start your proposal through PERA.
