Campus-wide NIH Initiatives

• NIH Workshops provide insights into NIH mission, funding opportunities, review process, and proposal preparation.
• NIH Faculty Enrichment Program offers hands-on instruction for faculty new to the NIH funding culture. The faculty cohort in this 8-week, spring semester program meets weekly over an extended lunch hour.
• In Coordinated Visits to the NIH, faculty travel with Research Development staff to meet NIH program staff and attend institute council meetings. Learn about the NIH, get feedback on research projects and programs, and identify opportunities for collaboration and funding.
• NIH-targeted Funding Incentive provides internal financial support to established faculty to generate key preliminary data for a new or renewal NIH R01, P01, or center grant proposal.
• NIH and DHHS Institutional Training Grants support provides expertise in training grant writing and tabulating data.
