Communication Resources

Whether you’re looking for ways to promote your latest research project, would like assistance developing a website or are just looking to spread the word about an upcoming event, we’ve gathered a collection of resources that can help.

Need help with a project?

Submit a request form and a member of our team will contact you.

Below, find the assets and tools you need to create research content that aligns with the Purdue brand and voice.

Office of Research

We’ve compiled resources for the Office of Research. For custom resources for your center or institute, please submit a request.

  • Purdue Brand Guidelines: View guidelines for use of Purdue-branded graphic elements.
  • Purdue Logos and Co-brand Logos: Access and download Purdue University’s logo and Purdue-branded organizational logo assets (co-brands).

Don’t see your organization’s logo?

Request a new co-brand

Templates

We provide preformatted, easy-to-use templates for research partners to create flyers, prepare branded presentations, design research posters and more.

  • PowerPoint and Microsoft Word Templates: Access to branded and editable PowerPoint, letterhead and certificate templates.
  • Marq Templates: Marq allows you to build brochures, flyers, research posters and more from predefined, branded templates that can easily be printed. You must request a license to access the system (limit two per unit).
  • InDesign Templates: A variety of predefined, branded templates are available to experienced users with access to Adobe Creative Suite. Note that most of these templates are available in the easier-to-use Marq system mentioned above.

What’s the difference between the Purdue logo and a co-brand logo?

The Purdue logo features the “Motion P” and the name “Purdue University” to the right (in the horizontal version) or below it (in the vertical version). A co-brand features the Purdue logo plus the name of a center/institute/organization to the right (in the horizontal version) or below it (in the vertical version).

The poster lab allows faculty, staff and students associated with the College of Engineering or Purdue’s interdisciplinary Institutes and Centers to request 24×36- or 36×48-inch posters for conferences, poster sessions, etc.

Individuals requesting poster printing are encouraged to use the poster printer within the posted hours. Having your poster printed is not always guaranteed. Walk-ins outside the scheduled poster lab hours will not be accommodated. Limit one poster per student.

We should be notified ahead of time when large quantities are expected for symposiums, poster sessions or workshops. These must be submitted one week before the poster session to ensure that we can get it printed.

DPD center/institute and engineering students: Please email your proofread PDF presentation to mrgnposterprinter@gmail.com. The poster print staff will send you an email when your poster is ready for pickup.

Please provide the poster print staff with the following:

  • Name
  • Purdue department/college
  • Reason for poster (conference, poster session, etc.)

We do not print posters with colored backgrounds (no filled-in color backgrounds). Please allow a 48- to 72-hour notice for your poster to be printed. Quantities over 10 require a week’s notice.

Poster Printer Requirements

  • Draft PowerPoint
  • Set page layout size to 24×36 or 36×48
  • Save as PDF
  • Email to mrgnposterprinter@gmail.com

Proof your poster before you click SEND, we don’t do reprints. You are responsible for any poster trimming outside the standard.

Picking Up Your Poster

If you personally cannot pick up your poster, please let us know who will be picking it up and signing it out on your behalf. We are not responsible for your poster once it leaves our lab.
