Two Purdue agricultural startups receive $100,000 from inaugural Ag-celerator fund

Two Purdue agricultural-based startups received investments totaling $100,000 from the Purdue Ag-celerator, a plant sciences innovation fund operated by Purdue Ventures, the capital access arm of the Purdue Foundry, with assistance from the Purdue College of Agriculture, Purdue Research Foundation’s Office of Technology Commercialization and the agricultural industry.

First laser study of atomic antimatter

A large, 54-member international team known as the ALPHA collaboration for the first time measured the wavelength of light emitted from an atom of antimatter – in this case, antihydrogen. The experiments were conducted at the high-energy particle accelerator operated by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
